Top 12 Schools in Dubai 2013

The results below show Dubai’s top 12 schools, each school has been inspected by the Knowledge and Human Development Agency (KDHA). Out of the many schools the KDHA inspected, only 12 were awarded a top rating of OUTSTANDING.

Top 12 Schools in Dubai 2013

After a school has been inspected, it will be given a final rating as one of the following:

  • OUTSTANDING
  • GOOD
  • SATISFACTORY
  • UNSATISFACTORY – 15 schools achieved this.

So what are some of the things needed to achieve an OUTSTANDING rating?

1.  A school leader who is determined, always improving standards and acts upon recommended improvements given by the KDHA.

2.  Leadership, experience and commitment among senior staff. This shows that if the leader was to suddenly go, there would be enough stability to keep the same standard after the leader’s departure.

3.  Evidence that students are committed, e.g. good grades, active, outgoing, friendly and have specific aims.

4.  Quality teachers who give attention to each child’s needs, get good results and make learning fun and both theoretical and practical.

5.  An organised and well-structured curriculum.

6.  Support for special needs and a well organised plan for situations such as a fire, injury, crime and so on. They will also check things like the school’s first aid kit, whether the fire extinguishers are in date and what level of security the school has.

7.  Lots more things whereby I could go on till point 100 and past, but I won’t to benefit both of us.

Below are the 12 schools in Dubai that were rated outstanding.

Kings Dubai
Kings Dubai is the only school to have achieved an outstanding school inspection result more than 5 times in a row. Kings Dubai is a primary school, teaches the British Curriculum and is located in Umm Suqeim 3. If you’re looking to get your child into this school, good luck as there is a 3 year waiting list!
