Dubai’s Unsatisfactory Schools 2013

When the Knowledge and Human Development Agency (KDHA) went to inspect hundreds of Dubai schools, 15 were found to be of the very lowest grade which is unsatisfactory.

After a school is inspected, it will be given one of the following ratings:

  • Outstanding
  • Good
  • Acceptable
  • Unsatisfactory

What happens to an unsatisfactory school?
If a school is found to be unsatisfactory in Dubai, it will be monitored very closely through follow up inspections. The schools progress will be very closely inspected for a further 3 years and will then receive another full inspection.

During this year’s inspections, 4 schools had improved from unsatisfactory to a higher rating and 5 schools had fallen from acceptable to unsatisfactory. At the end of all school inspections, 13 schools were found to be unsatisfactory.

The following schools were deemed unsatisfactory by the KDHA:

Al Worood Academy Private School
English Language Private School
Grammar School

US Curriculum Schools – 2
New Academy School
Dubai American Scientific School

Indian Curriculum Schools – 2
Crescent English School
Gulf Model School

UAE Curriculum Schools – 4
Al Arqam Private School
Al Thuraya Private School
Al Hesn Private School
New World Private School

Pakistani Curriculum Schools – 2
His Highness Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani School
Al Farooq Pakistani Islamic School
